Do you take checks?

We do NOT take checks. We take cash or paypal that can be found on our Payment page. If the cake is over $100 there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit that is require to secure your cake order. Your cake will not be secured until the deposit is paid unless other arrangments have been made.

How far in advanced do I need to order my cake?

I prefer cakes to be ordered at least 1 week in advanced. If there are things that have to be special ordered, that I may not keep a lot of on hand, I suggest 2 weeks in advanced to make sure everything comes in on time. I do take last minute orders up to 3 days before the cake is needed but there will be an additional $50 rush fee added.

Which is better fondant or icing?

This is something that would be up to you. I suggest fondant more often then not. Icing tends to melt in this Louisiana fairy easily. Fondant makes the cake look a lot smoother and does not melt in the heat. The fondant I use is homemade fondant. It is made out of marshmallows and sugar, it taste nothing like the store bought fondant. The only ones that I do buy premade is red and black. Those tend to come out gray and pink when they are made homemade.

Are there any fees or delivery charges?
They are delivery and set up fees. It is a $25 delivery fee if you would like to meet somewhere to pick the cake up and a $40 delivery and set up fee if you are needing it set up on site. The only other fee I have is a $50 rush fee if the cake is ordered 3 days before it is needed.

Payments:

We require a 50% deposit on cakes $100 or more. Once the order is placed and the deposit is paid it will immediately become a non-refunable deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS!

The remainder of the amount will be due on day of pickup/delivery unless arrangements made otherwise.
